Walton Parish Nursing article for the Town Council summer 2023 magazine

Walton Parish Nursing continues to support people to reach their optimum well-being. Parish Nurses, Lorna and John, are committed to whole-person health care. This includes not only physical well-being but also mental, emotional and spiritual.

As part of this Walton Parish Nursing run a group called ‘No Labels’. This is a social support group that is open to anyone who experiences mental health or emotional issues. As John often says ‘ that includes everyone then!’ Those who come engage in crafts, jigsaws, chess, table-tennis, table-football and other games. There are newspapers and magazines to read. We are always open to fresh ideas. There is of course the obligatory tea, coffee and biscuits!

The sessions take place on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, between 1.30 – 3.30, at The Methodist Church hall in Seaton Road.  Supported by a wonderful group of volunteers ‘No Labels’ is open to adults wherever you live. ( You don’t have to live in Walton). You can come and stay for the whole time or just drop in for a few minutes.

It is a very friendly and relaxed group where you would be most welcome.
